Home screen issues

Hello all,

I have the Verizon version of the touch and today a buddy was using my phone. After his use my phones original home screen was changed and now it only has the start menu at the top left, the date under that which is followed by unread messages and upcoming events. Then it has the phone icon and lock icons but that's it.

How can i get my original home screen back that comes standard with all of the Touches? I'm trying not to a total factory restore because of all my contacts will be gone. Any ideas?

Re: Home screen issues

well if you goto start settings home then click on the items section you should see a list date htc home getting started owner info and so on.. i think he may have unchecked the htc home.. also if you use active sync you wont loose any contacts...

Re: Home screen issues

yeah I've tried the settings menu already and it still doesn't work I think I need to do a complete restore. And I do have Active Sync but i wasn't sure if that would save my contacts or not.

Re: Home screen issues

This happened to me right after I flashed to OMJ's new ROM. I went into settings, Today, activated the clock and such and got rid of the voicemail plugin then I hit ok and soft reset and it came up. Hopefully that'll help.
