Force Roam in new Sprint ROM

ive asked for this before and would LOVE to have it.

would pay a donation for development of it since i'd use it so much.

i downgraded my prl but i still can't roam. i know verizon has coverage around here but whenever i select roaming only, it goes to 1x and is actually still on the sprint network. i found this out because i went to an ip tracking website and it showed me i still had a sprint ip address. any ideas to get roaming working? thanks

This also happens to me, when i do roam only, the voice calls are all on the verizon network because if i don't give an area code it goes to a verizon message, but on the web if i check my ip i get a sprint one.

Yeah, I reran the ROM install and then used sprite backup to restore eveything. Everything works perfect again. Sprite works perfect everytime.

Roam Only, working and making calls.

I did the following which I found in this thread:

Under HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting
Change AllowRoaming to 0 (not sure if this is needed or not)
Under HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting\NetworkService
Change ItemCount to 3 (instead of 2)
Create a new String called ItemName3 with the value of "Roam Only" (without quotes)
Create a new DWord called ItemValue3 with a value of 3

Roam Only appeared as an option but I could not place calls.
I recieved the message also referenced in this thread stating that Verizon is unable to authenticate my phone.

So I called Sprint Tech Support and requested an HLR reload. Now I can make calls when I am in Roam Only mode

And now I like MW 6.1 !

I just made the registry edits and I have the little roaming triangle and I'm able to make calls. But I no longer get the EV or 1X symbol at the top. How can I tell what my data connection speed is? I did not change my prl yet, still on 60613

well I didnt have a data connection like I thought I did... I could have sworn I downloaded and installed google maps after making the reg edits though... So I did the prl change and its working great now but I still dont know how to tell what my data connection speed is. Any ideas?
