Yes, the problem is with vista. I moved from my vista laptop to my xp desktop after a couple of frustrating hours dealing with the error 328

I had a problem (ERROR: Invalid Command 328 ) using Windows 2000. But it worked using XP...

I am having the same issue but don't have a computer with xp! All have vista. Any other solutions?

You could try running RUU in XP compatibility mode. Right-click the EXE, select Properties, and you'll find the option.

I had the same problem,
Everything went fine after I unchecked the box for "enable advanced network functionality" in the connection tab of "USB to PC" under "Settings"


Go to: Settings
Go to: Connections (tab)
Click on: USB to PC
uncheck the box "enable advanced network functionality"

restart the flashing

I'm using vista and haven't had any of these problems but i had to update windows mobile device center to get my pc to recognize my phone works beautifully now

I tried the run in xp compatibility option, no luck though. Thanks for the info. Was a good try.

How did you update windows mobile device center? I never have seen an option for that.

I used this to update WMDC on my vista laptop. Have not flashed to the new ROM yet but will soon.
