SMS-Sender name not being picked up from contacts

I have a contact entry with a phone number and name. When I now receive an SMS, the message shows only the phone number of the sender, not the name of the sender.

This used to work, but now both the inbox and sent items show the number rather than the name. If I send via contacts, the item will show the name. When the recepient responds, only the number shows.

The event that, I think, caused this was a hard reset and a restore (via Sprite). Is there some registry entry that needs to be hacked/corrected?

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks.

Cool!

According to Google translator: "The same garbage, writing in Russian, I think, if I kaknesh neoshibayus that you are Russian, the answer to one question, skolkiznachnye numbers in your network? If you still pridnestrovya and then relax nezlob, then all communicators write: unknown sender as a minimum, to perform the work, SMS composer must have at least 11 + characters! That is, and so! with, the system operator network, should it pass in the international standard, for example +37377836904 ...."

AFAIK, the caller ID name matching uses the last six digits. I ended up restoring the contacts using PIM Backup and everything works fine now. It appears to be a problem with Sprite.

I do not understand you, you write, your Vogue's SMS composer is working well now, but it was "unknown sender" before? I have tis problem since i buy that one, and if you can, please, help me, the way, how i can to correct this problem, on my Vogue. I'm using, the Alltel ROM, now.
Thanks
