Problems since I d/led ROMs

Hey all I hope someone can help me with this problem. I have a touch for Alltel and ever since I upgraded my ROM to a custom one my phone stops responding after a few hours. You can still see and move about the home and shortcuts but the back light wont light up and none of the programs will work till I soft reset the phone. I have tried to flash back to the original rom that is posted but same results. Any1 know a solution for this ? Thankx
