Getting a new touch...have a few questions

hi all...I am awaiting delivery of a new touch (thanks Walla). I will be going from the Mogul to the touch. Being used to the mogul, I am used to Rev A and GPS. I was under the impression that Sprint had released a new stock Rom enabling GPS and Rev A, but reading through the touch forums, I'm not sure now. Do I need to use the Alltel Rom do enable it, or is there an existing Sprint Rom? Any recommendations on a custom Rom to use? Any other recommendations (reg hacks, tweaks, etc?)

Thanks for any replies/help.

PS - Flaming is not neccessary...Im not looking for instructions on how to do anything...I can read and figure it out...just looking for opinions and recommendations.

Thanks all.

Re: Getting a new touch...have a few questions

People have been waiting for Sprint's Official ROM which would include REV A and GPS update. Rumors had it that the release date would be 6/20 (yesterday) but the ROM did not get released.

Yeah, you need to flash Alltel's rom first. Use OMJ's custom rom (pretty much has many things tweaked) and is stable with support by OMJ.

there's a leaked sprint rom. I don't think you have to go alltel first. Look under the vogue upgrade stickies.
