Re: does flashing wipe out your sd card?

Nope. I've never had it wipe my memory card. The only thing is if you have programs installed to the card (instead of to the device), you will have to reinstall those apps. While the files would still be on the card, the registry settings and stuff for the app will be gone.

Music, pics, cabs, documents, etc. should all stay on the card after a flash.

I guess something *could* go wrong and wipe your card, but I've never heard of it happening.

Just take it slow and one step at a time. Follow the instructions and walkthroughs and as long as you don't miss a step you should be fine. Good luck!

I searched "change storage card" and nothing came up... forgive me if this has been answered... it's a similar question though. If I were to change my current 2GB storage card for a higher capacity one later and just copied all the files over to the new card, my programs would still run, correct? i mean, the registry stuff would all still be on the phone, which is mapped to the actual program files in the storage card, so as long as the mapping is the same it's all good, right?
