Bluetooth wont turn on

In Comm Manager, the bluetooth icon has the "X" through it, showing that it is turned off. If I click the icon, the hourglass comes up for a second, but bluetooth does not start. The icon remains Xed out.

I have also tried going to Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth and putting a checkmark in the "Turn on Bluetooth" box. If I do that and then come back to the page, the checkmark has been removed.

If i do a soft-reset, the checkbox is checked, but the blinking blue light at the top of the phone is never on, and I cannot connect any devices.

I have used my Cardo 800 headset for a few weeks with no problems. Also have used BT to tether to my laptop for internet access, and for sending files between phone and laptop.

All of a sudden it just stopped working. Any ideas?

I have the stock ROM, and just a couple of apps installed.
