Tethering with Verizon xv6900??

Okay, I've searched, and searched, and searched some more, but I can't find it. I don't see Internet Sharing on my new xv6900 (am I missing something??). I've been searching and cannot find a cab file for installing ICS or WMODEM. Am I missing something???? I see others are doing it, I just can't seem to figure out how.

Thanks.

Re: Tethering with Verizon xv6900??

Okay, so I found a version (IntShrUI.exe, intshare.dll, and ipnat.dll). I copied them on and it runs and says it's connected, but my laptop can't get an IP. I even tried including the REG entries that's in the files Helmi provides with the WM6 kitchen.

Any help is appreciated.

This works great on vzw 6800's and 6900's. Only thing I've seen is you have to uninstall and reinstall after a *228. Create a dialup connection with pc as yourmdn@vzw3g.com and use vzw as password. You will need to change your DUN NAI under M.IP default profile in the ##778 menu to yourmdn@vzw3g.com (take the dun. part out). With reasonable usage I've never had a problem without a tether pkg using 2-3gb a month.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot.

Thanks. I didn't think to look for WMODEM, as I'd been using ICS for a while. It worked without a prob. Thanks again!

Please excuse the ignorance (perhaps) of my question. I'm on Sprint so this is no big deal for me. However, my 2 co-workers are with Verizon and have asked me to aid them in getting this done. GREAT POST.
I have a few questions:

1a) What is a >*228<?
1b) What am I uninstall/re-installing after this *228?

Thanks for any help

the *228 is the over the air provisioning for a vzw phone .ie *22899 *228 option 1 or 2 etc.

You need to uninstall and reinstall the wmodem app after each *228 it seems.
