SMS/new message alert through BT headset?

On every other phone, when there is a new SMS or message, and there is a bluetooth headset paired, the alert will also play through the headset.

Even when the phone itself is on vibrate, many phones will still issue a command through BT which causes the headset to make a sound.

With the Touch, no alert comes through to the headset. So when a new message arrives, no notification is sent through the headset. The headset only makes noise when there is an incoming call.

Is this normal? Can this be changed so that alert is sent through BT? A registry hack perhaps?

If you use Microsoft Voice Command you can have it announce and read the emails/texts through the BT headset or the phone. Personally, I'd also just like a notification.

I was wondering a lil about this because my phone does play it thru the BT headset but I have headphones/headset and this only happens from time to time. Is there something to control this would love to know....
