Downgrade from sprint leaked ROM to original ROM

Hi,
I am running the Sprint Leaked ROM, non-customized, stock version (I didnt use any of the kitchens). It was running great for me. Now unfortunately my touch screen got screwed up and I need to use warranty for replacement/repair. Could anyone please tell me how to go back to the original 1.12.651.1? I tried running the shipped exe ROM but I am getting an error saying that this update utility could not be run on your phone. I tried searching the forums for this but I couldnt find anything for stock ROM downgrade. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you would need to downgrade your SPL/Bootloader to 0.40, then flash the 6.0 shipped rom.

In another guide it says to downgrade to .41, what is the difference? I also have the leaked sprint rom.

Not sure how you got the original rom upon a hard reset if you'd flashed to a different one. A hard reset will just return you to the rom/radio you most recently flashed to, without any cab installed programs or other post-flash customizations. At least that's been my experience.

hard resetting wouldnt change the rom back to the original tho, it would just wipe all the data from the current rom
