yup. sorry i abbreviated. good phone back in the day.
and i'll also re-confirm that the 8gb microsd does work in the vogue. and i believe that is the highest they make -- so i'm curious to know, since that's and sdhc, if future hc cards such as a 12gb also work... i guess 8 is good enough. i'll never use more than that - i dislike a phone as an mp3 player due to buttons/control, and since you need that ugly big adapter, i'll probably never try with the vogue. so i'm stuck w/ the two devices.

i had mobile shell on my samsung... i dont know, it's cool and all. maybe i'll have to spend some time customizing it..... i honestly don't see myself using the cube much. the launcher is great on the htc home plugin.

the one thing that i like about htc over mobile shell is the look.....and... being on your today screen w/o a script ... and the weather is the real clincher. so pretty. again if i take the time to customize mobile shell....maybe, just maybe i can get it how i like....IF and only IF it's really that much faster like stated here.

I WISH!!! I have even tried the kitchen very plain, with no office, htc crap, or anything else and still slow response... for example, try scrolling upd and down fast your programs screen. Than try the same with settings...

Somehow this would not happen with the alltel rom modified to make the other vogues capable of GPS. There's something else going on.

i noticed increasing some of the settings for cache (glyph cache, file system, disk, etc) did make a noticeable difference. i would sometimes go a little bit above what people were saying when adjusting those. 8kb instead of 4... and 16kb or 32kb on some settings even.

Can anyone else confirm that spb mobile shell speeds things up? Does spb 'replace' the windows mobile shell or kind of run on top of it (eating memory up in the background)?

No, that's not the case. I've been running with a 8Gb Sandisk card as soon as they were available, and I'm looking forward to the 12Gb cards.

Have you considered a bluetooth headset? I've been using the Blueant X5 stereo headset http://www.myblueant.com/x5_stereo_b...hones_a2dp.htm since I got the Vogue last November, and love it. Volume control, next/previous, and pause/play controls on the headset, so you don't need to access controls on the Vogue itself, plus bluetooth eliminates the use of the adapter. Only drawback I've found is if you're watching videos, there's a slight delay as the audio is sent and received, so the lips don't quite match the speech, kind of like watching a bad kung-fu movie.
