Need cable to connect Touch to auxilliary outlet in car

My new car has an auxilliary audio connector and I'd like to connect my Touch to it to play over the speakers. I assume I need something like a 2.5 to 3.5 cable (need some length as the connector is in the arm rest and my phone is in a vent mount). I would try to search but don't even know what to look for. Please advise. Thank you.

Your touch came with a "Y" connector for this. You'll need a 2.5 to 3.5mm connector.

Yes, I have the "Y" connector. I realize I need a 2.5 to 3.5mm connector to use with it. I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear, but the issue with one of those is that it has a very short cable and I need something to reach from my armrest to the front vent (maybe 18 inches or so). Do I get a cable besides the adapter (if so, what do I look for or where) or is there some kind of an adapter with a long cable? Thanks.

its a simple cable that can be purchased at your local RADIOSHACK.
