These are for the GSM touch, you can see that the mirror is located right above the camera, on the CDMA version it is at about 11oclock

Too bad, I like the red one too. Does Alltell offer a 30 trial and do you think they would notice that they gave me a red phone but are getting a black one in return?

lol i think they would notice without question. im pretty sure that they only offer a read touch, just like sprint offers black, and verizon offers white.

Alltel offers both the silver and red models, although the red seems to be more expensive online. If you go to the store, they're the same price, but the store is more expensive anyway.

Has anyone found a source on this housing yet?

I am switching to Verizon soon, probably by the end of this this month or mid-next month and personally, I'm not too fond of the white case on their version of the Touch. As most of you know already, I am currently with Sprint. I love the rubberized feel of the black case on their Touch but don't care to go through the hassle of trying to get it activated on Verizon.

I plan on changing the housing of the Verizon Touch from the slippery plastic white to either the wine red Alltel housing or to the black housing from Sprint but would really prefer the wine red one.

I would gladly pay for the housing, regardless of price, as long as it was OEM and BRAND NEW.

By the way, there is a problem with changing out the housings on the Touch. The problem is that the top half holds the digitizer and glass.. This is a witch to remove without causing some sort of damage To the screen layers and the digitizer connector.

So we are gonna have to keep an eye out for people selling full housings for CDMA such as this:

The key is to keep an eye on the "mirror" placement. All CDMA housings mirror is in the 11:00 position. Whereas the GSM is in the 12:00.
