If its error 67 have you done the reg edit? Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing] Then Delete "Extension"="rilphone.dll" or "Extension"="isext.dll then change "MaxCMCon.... from 1 to 0.. MaxCMCon might be 0 already if so its cool.

And, are you considering flashing to a new rom to get GPS and RevA? If so, you should do that 1st, and that will probably solve your problem. If not, here's 2 methods that worked for me. 1# Make sure your phone is able to sync w/ your pc. Disconnect the usb cable. When you're trying to share the internet, depending on your registry settings, you may need to have an active data connection. Open internet explorer, and navigate to a page that will take some time to load. I usually go to the desktop version of youtube. While that's loading, open internet sharing, click "connect" then connect the USB cable. If that worked your set. Just get an active connection going, and then start the internet sharing program, then connect the cable. #2 Check these settings in your registry and post what it says. I had to change these when I was on the stock rom in order for the internet sharing to work w/o doing step #1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\WModem CheckProfile = 1 Multi-NAI = 0 WModemDUN = 1

Re: Sprint Internet Sharing issue
Here's the thing, I'm getting no errors whatsoever. Plain and simple, I'm getting nothing. I connect according to the instructs, wait, then nothing. My pc sits there. I then open IE on my phone again, and my internet works just fine. Just doesn't on my PC or laptop. I'm going to try the suggestions and try again.
I have no intention of upgrading anything until I get this working properly. Perhaps I should, but I will hold off until I can tether properly. |
