Back Up Programs

What Back Up program works best with the Touch? I have the Spb Back Up program that I could only get to work after a hard reset. I have the 15 day trial and it saved my but once, but I can't get any other back-ups to work.

Re: Back Up Programs

I've been using Sprite Backup. It works great and is easy to use. The only problem I've encountered is it is not compatible with WM 6.1 so when I upgraded my Rom it did not Restore properly.

Re: Back Up Programs

I use SPB Backup. works really good and I like it. saved my *** many times.

and I use PimBackUp for my PIM data, you can do a search, i believe it's a freeware, and it doesn't need a soft reset.

SPB backup does a soft reset but I think other programs that can store the whole system will do the same. It's a software worth buying or there's always ways to make it free.

Re: Back Up Programs

I have used both spb backup and sprite backup and can recommend both as excellent programs. The advantage to sprite is that it has a feature to allow you to transfer after an upgrade and it can back up your device to your computer and your MicroSD card whereas spb can only back up to your MicroSD card.

Re: Back Up Programs

CE regeditor is a PC registry editor that can be used to backup/mirror your PPC. So if you don't feel like paying for a backup program you can get PIM Backup and them from time to time you mirror the OS with the reg editor.

Just an option.

Re: Back Up Programs

You can use SPB clone as backup too. Clones the whole system including settings, text, phone history, etc. Companies use this to clone all their company phone so they do not need to install every proggys and setting on each phone the company use. I used this when I accidentally cleared my storage. Saves me hours of installations and tweakings. Note* It will only clone your device. It will not clone the storage card. You can just copy paste the content of that though.

Yyyeah... so Sprite got me today... Monday night i flashed to no2chem's build 5069 and naturally scheduled sprite to do my daily backups... well this morning i wanted to hard reset to fix some persisting issues from the flash and when i go to restore my latest backup point it tells me it failed... no other explanations. I tried again three more times and then removed it from my phone... hopefully they'll push out a wm6.1 compatible version SOON!! so it looks like i'll be going back to spb backup then? lol
