Re: Back Up Programs

CE regeditor is a PC registry editor that can be used to backup/mirror your PPC. So if you don't feel like paying for a backup program you can get PIM Backup and them from time to time you mirror the OS with the reg editor.

Just an option.

Re: Back Up Programs

You can use SPB clone as backup too. Clones the whole system including settings, text, phone history, etc. Companies use this to clone all their company phone so they do not need to install every proggys and setting on each phone the company use. I used this when I accidentally cleared my storage. Saves me hours of installations and tweakings. Note* It will only clone your device. It will not clone the storage card. You can just copy paste the content of that though.

Re: Back Up Programs

6.2.2 IS the latest but read below from Sprite website:

Backup Files Created Using Earlier Versions Can NOT Be Restored with 6.2

We have improved the Restore process in Sprite Backup 6.2. As such it is NOT possible to restore Backup files created with earlier versions of Sprite Backup using Sprite Backup 6.2. If you wish to restore a Backup File created using an earlier version of Sprite Backup simply remove Sprite Backup from your device, then locate and tap on the Backup file using File Explorer.

It is strongly recommended you update your backup library to only contain files created using Sprite Backup 6.2

the only version i've ever used is 6.2.2 on my wm6.1. After my hard reset I tried to do the portion highlighted ... but it continues to fail in restoring...

Re: Back Up Programs

All I use is PIM Backup for contacts & text messages. Everything else I cook into the rom or it just isn't that important.

Re: Back Up Programs

Would definitely suggest using Dashwire. Great service that lets you back up contacts, texts, photos... Never had a problem. Lots of other useful features too.

Glad to be the safety net. Backup is just part of what we do though. All sorts of other features available once info is online and connected to your device. Signature is enough of an ad, so I'll chill on additional detail.
