Is there any way to installed maybe a freeware or what ever to really close programs instead of them being open in the background, even if you X out the programs are still open....

Re: Closing open programs

Go to Settings - system - task manager - Buttons

Select close programs on tapping X
This should close your programs after
pressing X

Re: Closing open programs

I'm not sure what my setting is, but I have to hold the X to close the program completely. You can also X out programs from the task manager.

Re: Closing open programs

Another option is to use a Task Manager program similar to dotfred's which is available -> here <-

I like ones like this because not only do they allow you to see the programs running but there really is more to see such as Windows processes and such...

Tillanosoft's SmallMenu also provides this capability

Re: Closing open programs

I use QuickMenu as the default start menu and it has the option to use the x button to close the screen + it shows any open programs at the top of the menu
