Re: TouchPal virtual keyboard?

I downloaded this but am ignorant as to how to use it. I have 3.0 and it is in my program files folder but I don't know how to actually bring up the keyboard/s. Forgive me if I sound ignorant but I just switched from my mogul back to a touch, just to try it out now that I know how to customize, flash, and cook.

First go to settings, click the input icon and select TouchPal. In the settings it has a checkbox to select it as the primary SIP. Check that. It will prompt for a soft-reset, so go ahead. If it doesn't stay selected then SIPChange is in order. this program makes it stay selected. It is in the kitchen selections. if you already flashed or don't want to flash yet I attaced a .zip of the .cab installer. Unzip on your PC, copy to your storage card and install to your device.

Thanks doc...Checking the input settings is one of the first things I checked but touchpal does not show as and option. Maybe something to do with the hulk ROM I flashed.
If I am loosing sight of the OP, I apologize. Just trying to see if this app is something for me and if it is a reason to keep my service on my touch.

Is the hulk ROM 6.1? if so there's a special build for 6.1 on the CooTek site that solves the problem. Check their forum too.

Re: TouchPal virtual keyboard?

Unfortunatly I must have downloaded this before and not used it. My trial expired the next day.
Guess its back to Pocketcm keyboard for me.
I had problems with the standard one after expiration. It would not enter keys correctly.

Email cootek. They are VERY good with product support. One of the known bugs, the expired after a day(actually due to soft-reset and the settings getting lost) thing happened to me, and they helped me with a working password. In less than 24 hours.
Just give them your name, email used when you bought it, and challenge code.
here's the address.

Yep...your right. I am getting more and more used to typing with an on-screen keyboard and from what I have heard, this takes it to the next level so I think tonight is the night to download the 6.1 fix and try this out.

Re: TouchPal virtual keyboard?

I am definitely hooked. This is the first keyboard I have used that is not super sensitive. What I mean by that is, usually when I use an on-screen full keyboard, especially one as small as this, I hit the character next to the one I'm trying to hit. It's like Touchpal knows exactly what you are trying to type, even if you physically hit the character next to the one your going for because of the way you are holding your thumbs. Very nice! Can't wait to get a little practice in.
