my touch phone won't ring

my touch froze up as usual today i had to soft reset. but when it came back on, it won't ring or make any sounds. i've determined its the speaker phone because i called someone and i couldn't hear them on speaker, well, it was so low u had to the phone to your ear...but when you cut the speaker off you can hear fine.....anyone else with problem or similar problems? any solutions?

back up ur contacts and messages with pimback up sprit back up or whatever u desire and hard reset! just to avoid any prolonged confusion and complications..other than that someone else can probably come up with a fix
