I'm not exactly sure what's in the gps kickstart cab, but it has definitely helped with locking using the no2chem os build in the vogue kitchen. I'm having problems getting locks, though, using the new build in the kitchen.

I've just added all of you to my buddy list! We Verizon users have to stick together!

Maybe this weekend I'll tackle my first flash. Maybe. I'm pretty happy with the way my XV6900 is working now but the lure of GPS is pretty tempting and I'd love to get some of the other features working... like bluetooth tethering, streaming video, and bluetooth sync. I'm not sure if flashing will unlock these features but they damn sure don't work now.

Agreed! Too much Sprint..lol
I am using OMJ's 3.03 custom ROM after flashing the new 3.03 sprint radio. It as been all systems go form the get go. Speed is great, internet speed is nice and GPS locks quickly, lsss than 10 secs usually.
The best advice i can give is this; If yhou have a phone that works other than your XV, keep it around. When you Are ready to flash, go on VZW and activate the old phone FIRST. Do this with the battery removed from the XV. THEN flash and do whatever mods. Then go back to VZW site and activate the XV with the old phone's battery removed. This works every time and no calls to VZW with lame excuses

If your talking about OMJ 3.02 verizon rom, its still available, but with the 3.03 radio out, you need a 3.03 ROM which OMJ did, but its generic.
If your talking about something else....nevermind

Agreed I flashed to DHarvey's Black Vista (really slick) and used LiveSearch to travel from West TN to Gulf Shores, AL last week. Even in the areas where there was no data connection (down in MS), I could still see the GPS path and the directions were dead on!

Live Search doesn't talk to you like some of the costly GPS packages out there, but it does beep at you when you near a turn and then beep again (different sound) at the turn itself.

DHarvey's ROM can be found at http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=31081. The link to the Verizon-specific ROM is at the bottom of the first post.

I'd be happy to help anyone on specifics - MMS or GPS priming. Goodness knows I've received plenty of help myself here!

Thanks. Sounds good to me. I think I will do exactly the same this weekend. My e815 and my iPaq are on the chargers!
