Re: Anybody considering a switch the the BB Curve?
I thought about it when the Curve came out but I have had a lot of experience with Blackberry's OS and the Curve has the same as the Pearl i just got rid of for my Touch.
If it is reliability you are looking for then Blackberry is for you. I personally think there is a lot more software out there for WM then there is for BB so thats why I went back to WM. |

Re: Anybody considering a switch the the BB Curve?
I have a coupla kids with the curve and have owned the pearl myself. BB OS isnt without its own problems. I seem to remember the call log and text messages deleting themselves when memory ran low.
The pearl was a great texting phone. Loved suretype and got really fast on it. It was a decent organizer and fantastic at email. I need the ability to do some things that only WM affords, so i'm now onto the Touch (texting with the 'suretype-ish' keyboard). Size wise, the touch and curve are very similar in thickness, curve is a bit wider. Trackball is nice, lack of touchscreen is not. Lots of pros to each, a few cons as well. Maybe you could borrow one from a friend for a few hours and see how you like the layout and OS. Good luck! |

Re: Anybody considering a switch the the BB Curve?
Yea well... I just got off the phone with telesales and they offered it to me for $280-$100 mail in rebate - $50 invoice credit = $130. I was this close to placing the order, then she told me to have the rebate I would have to get the BB data package which is $30 a month on top of what I'm already paying... Damn BB data plans.
