Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......
So, based on this thread, I got the BlueAnt z9i for my Touch...now that it's against the law to talk on your phone and drive in WA....anyway, I cannot get my Touch to recognize it....any suggestions?
Thanks!! |
Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......
I've had issues with BT headsets constantly disconnecting. My favorite headset was the Jabra BT8010. It disconnected a lot as well, but would instantly reconnect, you would basically see the CallerID display flash on and off periodically.
Otherwise, it was great, got plenty loud. Too bad I lost it. :( -Ed |
Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......

Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......
For those of you with the voyager 855, or any other plantronics, when you connect do you experience the following:
1> Headset beeps with a low tone to confirm conection 2> Then the headset disconnects with a high tone beep 3> headset beeps again with a low tone and stays connected. For those of you without this headset, do you get the same with the Z9? Also, if you just turn the headset on, it will automatically connect with the above process but not connect wireless stereo until you actually press the button on the headset. Once wireless stereo is connected, you can't disconnect it without cycling power on the headset or cycle bluetooth on the phone. Lastly, does everyone notice that having wireless stereo connected, the battery on both the phone and headset drains very quickly even it the phone is in idle. With all this said, I think the headset is great. The ear loop can be flimsy and I have already broken one. I called the company and ordered extras. The only thing that bugs me is the connection process. I will get in my car, turn on bluetooth, it connects, I start a call, it drops bluetooth which leaves my caller hanging until the headset reconnects and I transfer the call back to the headset. |
Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......
I've been using Jabra BT8010 for a while now. Pretty good. The reception is excellent. It's definitely longer than 10m, even after 3-4 drywalls in the building.
