Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......
Its not an in-ear but has anyone tried the Blueant Supertooth? as a car kit so to speak? I'm doubting between that and the Parrot 3200LS

Motorola T505 http://www.store.motorola.com/mot/ht.../T505_RS_2.gif Simply Rocks! best BT to FM car speakerphone on the market. :headbang: Simple to set up.....simple to use.....works as advertised. |
Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......
I'm using a BlueAnt Supertooth speakerphone setup. It works pretty well, loud enough when driving around town but freeway speed and road noise can make it a little tough for me to hear. I like the slide out mic for turning it on and off. The only downside is that there's a clip that goes on your visor and then a magnet on the supertooth holds it to that clip and when you push the microphone back into the device to turn it off, the magnet wants to give way so it's almost a two handed operation to truly turn it off. Not good if driving but I rarely need to completely turn it off while driving anyways.
I loved my Plantronics 640 in ear setup (light and good sound) but no noise cancellation and the ear gels get nasty after a while of being in my ear and then laying in the cup holder and back and forth. Replacement ear gels certainly solve that but that's the one problem with in ear units. I've got a Z9 right now but it doesn't fit in my ear very well and I hate the ear loop. I've seen some other folks complain about it's fit but it seems to be about 80% who love it and 20% who can't get it to fit. Guess I'll have to wait until Plantronics comes out with a better noise cancelling headset.... |

For a regular headset I have a Moto H700 and have never really had any problems with it, but I don't use it as much now that I have that T505. I also have the Moto S9 for when I jog and workout. |
Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......
I lost my z9 loved it - it kicked butt over everything I had tried (plantronics 655, 645, jawbone, several others) - it's so small:( since then I've replaced it w/ the jawbone 2..
I also upgraded my phone to the sprint leaked 6.1 rom in the meantime (vs. a hacked 61 rom before..); so jury is still out - but my jawbone's outgoing sound volume feels really low! The z9's replacement, z9i, is supposed to be in-stock starting monday - and one of the big claims is that it does better wind noise cancelling - I think I might have to give it a try... -mark |

Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......
I must be crazy or just too picky. I bought the Z9 when I first got my Mogul, and it had this buzzing sound that would go in and out if you turned the volume up within a click or two of the top. It was enough to annoy me. I ended up trading from the Mogul to the Touch, and the Touch had the same problem. So then I tried exchanging the Z9, and it had the same problem. So, it seemed to me like this was some problem with the Z9 and the HTC bluetooth, as it followed both a change from one device to another and a replacement of the headset itself.
Maybe I'm just deaf (which is possible) and nobody else ever needs to turn it up above the lowest volume levels. But in many environments I couldn't hear unless I turned it up to the point where the buzzing started. It drove me crazy. I was really disappointed, as I loved everything about the headset aside from that. For now, I've got the Plantronics Voyager 855. I like it, but not as much as I would have liked the Z9 if it didn't have the buzzing. |

Re: The Best Bluetooth device for the Touch......
Does anyone use the jawbone 2 and the 6800 mogul? I have been trying to pair it, but it keeps saying cannot pair, code is wrong, etc. It SEES the jawbone, but won't pair with it.
