Re: Htcclassaction.org Making Serious Progress!!!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't say that. There are plenty of people that won't immediately jump on one of the new devices. Just look at the 6700 forum...still alive and kicking.

I agree and as soon as Sprint actually stocks one of those 2 devices we will get our drivers. The current ones seem to be only compatible with GSM.

I don't know much about the technical side, but are the video drivers connected to the different way of telecommunication in the phone?

Re: Htcclassaction.org Making Serious Progress!!!!!!!!!!!
I would. This thread was about the class action lawsuit that's never going to happen over something barely anyone really knows anything about. If you could download a lawsuit from piratebay, this would have been over 8 minutes after it started. Instead, it's a dead issue.

Re: Htcclassaction.org Making Serious Progress!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I would agree that the lawsuit won't go anywhere. I don't think we will ever see full access to the graphics chip either. The whole class action lawsuit thing may or may not have even helped bring the issue to HTC's attention. Bottom line though, the company did recognize certain deficiencies in their recent crop of devices and has taken steps to improve their performance. I think we can still expect to see something from HTC to improve performance on devices based on the qualcomm chips, wether it comes as a ROM update directly from HTC or hacked from similar devices.

Re: Htcclassaction.org Making Serious Progress!!!!!!!!!!!
its really in its current form going nowhere. HTCclassaction was a bunch of blow-hards like people in forums, lot of talk little action. Same as the people who are obsessed with getting a "good" Touch screen who have given up (like i predicted in the thread) because no one cares at the manufacturer or carrier level to fix the issue. Same with the drivers. you can beat it to death and talk about it all you want but nothing official will come in the way of the 3d drivers. So far porting them hasnt even proved successful, the hardware is too different still and theyve had Diamond ROM dumps for a while now. by the time if anything gets going, people will be upgrading to the next HTC series and the general (average) masses wont care about an EOL (end of life) device very much.

And I'll still slam a sliding glass door on my nads before I shell out another dime to HTC. Eff 'em and their douchebag apologists. Got an iPhone on the way, in fact, to go along with the Blackberry I already have.
