Wanted: Stock(ish) Alltel 6.1 ROM w/ GPS

Seems to be one for every major carrier out there except Alltel... doesn't seem fair since Alltel's 6.0 ROM is what brought GPS to all our phones to start with.

Can someone help the Alltel crew out a bit?

OMJ has a ROM .. I think it just needs to be tweaked and tuned a lil bit more.. waiting on his response on some of the issues I have when I installed his ROM last night.

What are the outstanding issues? If I recall his was highly customized wasn't it?

Na.. it wasnt bad. He put stuff that you could "tweak" the phone with.

He is thinking about making a highly customized version.. I just think he needs to find out why somethings work and others dont. He did say he was running the Alltel ROM with GPS and no problems. Im not getting anything with it...unfortunately.

Im gonna go back to the Sprint ROM... I can deal with below average cell service .. on the flip side.. its great in other places. Very weird..

I have the same issue with the reception that you described-- it was awesome with the Alltel build but it's crap with Sprints.
