EVDV would have given simultaneous voice and data, but to my knowledge that protocol has been scrapped. EVDV will not follow after EVDO. I don't think it is really an evolution of current EVDO standards. It was a separate proposal that never made it to production. We currently have Rev A. I haven't heard if they plan on rolling out Rev B at all. WiMAX should start showing up within a few years, so I wouldn't think they would push Rev B, but who knows.
