Quick Upgrade Question.

The only thought I'm having thats keeping me from flashing the new leaked Sprint 6.1 ROM is....what if the official one is released and has a lower numbered radio? Call me an idiot but I'm very new to this kind of thing, wouldn't that mean I'd have to downgrade my phone to install the official release and possible brick my phone in the process?

And before you say "It's easy to do, don't worry", I have two things to say to that...This is a $500 phone and I'm not rich. The other thing is that I can't even get Android to run and thats only 4 simple files.

The roms on ppcgeeks are way better than any stock one. And when an official release does come out, new roms based off that will appear that same day usually. The radio on here is the latest from the leaked rom, version 3.17.15. No worries and ask in the software forum, maybee someone can help you get that android working...

Maybe but I'm paranoid that I might screw up my Touch to the point of not being able to flash a stock ROM in case I need to get it repaired or something and would rather not be charged for the full thing because I had an un-signed ROM flashed onto it. So you're saying that since it's based on the leaked ROM, any official sprint release will be equal or higher Radio version?

And I'll make that android post when I get off work, I posted my question in detail on the XDA forums and didn't get a single reply.

I think we only get a new radio after a "leaked version". I bet the official release will have this same radio. Check out the stickies in the vogue.upgrade forum, and this should help you out with any worries!
