Latest TouchFlo (as found on Sprint Touch and Touch Dual)

Hi, I am new here but made many a post over at XDA-Developers.

I posted about this over there but got nothing, maybe someone here will be able to help.

On the Sprint Touch by HTC, you can swipe left and right to go through text messages, e-mails, etc. The Touch Dual also does this, and I read somewhere that the Rogers version of the GSM Touch also does this.

But none of the ROMs I have put on my GSM Touch (Elf, 3450) have this feature.

Would it be possible to extract this and make it a .CAB for other TouchFlo enabled phones? I feel like if the TouchFlo cube and scrolling/panning works, there is no reason that the left/right swiping wouldn't be able to, it's just a matter of perhaps the TouchFlo version?

Any help in this would be appreciated.

I had a Sprint Touch, loved it but hated Sprint, so I returned it and bought the unlocked GSM Touch, but I really miss some of the features, all of which I got with Cabs (the bigger HTC Home, newer task manager etc.) but the one thing I can't manage to find is the left/right TouchFlo.

Again, any help would be appreciated.

And while I'm on the subject, it wouldn't be possible to port the Sprint ROM to the GSM touch (obviously without CDMA settings and Sprint customizations?)

I don't know exactly how to fix it, but you might try putting this file (biotouch.exe) in your \Windows folder. This is the latest version from the leaked Sprint ROM.

Re: Latest TouchFlo (as found on Sprint Touch and Touch Dual)

Great thank you, I'm looking forward to trying this.

How do I replace the current file? Normally I would rename it then drop the new one in, but even with Total Commander I can't manage to replace it...

Drop it in with Total Commander, then rename the old one, then rename the new one. Should work.

Re: Latest TouchFlo (as found on Sprint Touch and Touch Dual)

I needed to change the security settings but was then able to do it...

And it just made TouchFlo stop working completely lol.

Any other ways we might be able to get side swiping?

Re: Latest TouchFlo (as found on Sprint Touch and Touch Dual)

honestly, i would go over to xda developers forum. they are more gsm over there and have a whole Elf (which is your gsm touch) section and im sure someone has it working there. i know they have lots of ROMs too.

Re: Latest TouchFlo (as found on Sprint Touch and Touch Dual)

I did post over there on two different threads but those haven't gotten any response whatsoever other than "I want to do this too."

It can't be all that hard but no one seems to know how to do it.

Apparently the Rogers ROM for the Elf can do it, so it is not any sort of hardware limitation.
