Is Verizon Touch Java enabled?

For you Verizon Touch owners, are your phones java enabled? I have Sprint Touch, and my brother just got the Verizon Touch, but on his phone there is no Java application like on the Sprint.

I also tried to install OperaMini on his phone but the phone just won't recognize the file or how to open it.

Is he missing something on his phone or is that the way Verizon ships it?
