Letter R on Garmin keyboard

Hi

Garmin xt mobile works perfectly on my touch except for the letter "R" on the garmin keyboard. When doing a search for cities and r is the first letter it always overlays the today screen on top. No other letter does this. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated . Thank you in advance
