Can someone with a stock WM6.0 Sprint rom give me HTCstartmenu.exe?

After upgrading to the leaked Sprint rom, HTCstartmenu.exe or HTCstartmenu.lnk (don't remember what it was exactly) isn't in the Windows folder anymore.

I used to use this file to open the start menu in iFonz and cannot find a link or exe file in this new rom.

If you know of any other start menu links, or don't mind uploading the file, I'd appreciate it.

Where did you last see this executable?

I looked in the WM6.1 OEM RAR and the PPCGeeks OEM RAR and didn't see a file that matched the description you provided. I'm not saying you are wrong or confused; just that the things at my fingertips aren't particularly helpful to you.

The last place I can think to look is in the Sprint Touch ROM that ImCoKeMaN put together as part of his initial 0.3x unlocker test package. I am downloading that now.

I think it's only in the Sprint WM6.0 rom.

I last saw it in the Windows folder when I was running the stock rom that came with my Touch.

... and that is where it was located

one file htcStartMenu.exe is included in the attached zip file

Hopefully it will work as a stand-alone executable. I have the rom decomposed (thank ImCoKeMaN for extracting the RUU) and can provide additional files, but I'm not much good at figuring out what, if anything you might need in terms of supporting dlls or registry entries.

It didn't work out as well as I had hoped.

Opening the exe doesn't make the start menu drop down like it used to in the old rom.

Do you know what folder the real start menu exe in the leaked Spring 6.1 rom is located? I hunted around in the Windows folder and couldn't find anything.

I'm certainly no authority, but I don't see an executable along these lines ... I have the leaked ROM decomposed in a generic kitchen (Vogue_Kitchen_Tools.rar) from the PPCGeeks FTP site and when I search the entire decomposed ROM for a file name that includes "start" I only come up with two executables (startkey.exe and StartUpBioTouch.exe). The file that looks the closest is htcStartMenuService.dll but it's obviously not an executable.

I really appreciate your time spent looking into this issue.

I'll have to figure out another way to get the start menu to open.
