Without having to do the fix, if you like how the HTC Diamond Keyboard looks (better response than the stock SIP IMHO and has a great QWERTY) download that CAB and it works perfectly with Opera, without the Weather Panel probles

Turns out the weather panel issue was not due to the registry tweak, but was there all along.
