trouble sending email from the touch

whats up? i have the touch by sprint... i can receive email from all of my accounts (4), but i can not send email. i get an error message after hitting send... i use gmail, and cox email, and sprint. none of them are working, does any one have a solution or the same problem?

I had this problem with my earthlink e-mail. Eventually I figured out that the outgoing mail server used a specific port (587). After a lot of time with 3 or 4 different level 2 tech reps at Sprint, I found out you that when you enter the outgoing server you can also designate this port number by adding

ortnumber

In my case, it was smtpauth.earthlink.net:587

have this problem right now, on my phone after i send and email a screen pop up and says enter ur password

did you enter your password? what kind of mail account, sprint email account?

you have to enter the smtp outgoing server address for whatever mail hosting you're using.
