Re: Sprint Leaked Radio v3.37.15 vs Alltel Radio v3.37.10

I guess everyone's mileage varies, 3.37.10 locks faster for me.
3.37.15 takes longer to lock and loses the GPS signal frequently with TomTom, not sure if it's 3.37.15 or if TomTom just doesn't like the new Sprint kitchen.

I found the sprint rom better than the altell. i managed to get a 679 upload compared to 458 with the alltel.

My rates vary wider than that within 5 minutes using the same ROM.

You'd really have to know a lot about the current Network Load to make that judgement.

Re: Sprint Leaked Radio v3.37.15 vs Alltel Radio v3.37.10

OK after using it for 2 days now i will post my final findings ... I was using JDs GPStest Alltel rom.. Switched to the leaked 37.15 ROM and all i can say is WOW . I cant wait till the final version is out... I now get a signal where i never was able.. I cannot count to 30 b4 the GPS locks. I did this about 10 time at diff times of the day just to be sure it wasnt a fluke (this only happened after i set the HKey to gps mode=4 ) So im finding it works . I didnt do any Kitchen just the stock ROM .. I use Garmin XT 20.30 for my GPS testing.. with NO assist program to help it lock on . Where my speed test was 824/168 now is 1528/258 so im thinking REVA is working Can figure out how to tell if REVa is really kicking in .

Hope this helps someone ...

I think that everyone's experiences will vary based on what carrier they are using and the area. In my area on Bell, I'm finding that I have crap reception and poor GPS locks after upgrading from the Alltell .10 to the Sprint .15 Radio, so I'm going to go back to the Alltell radio and see what happens, but I'm noticing a BIG difference (negatively) after putting the .15 radio on.

I'm in Brampton, I'm going to be in Toronto tomorrow and I will see what happens as far as GPS locks go and see if RevA stuff shows up at all, as it doesn't seem to happen in Brampton.

Re: Sprint Leaked Radio v3.37.15 vs Alltel Radio v3.37.10

For me, the 3.37.15 radio has problems holding onto EV-DO signal, (not even sure if it's working with revA.) I get serious battery drains when I use data, BT, or GPS.
