3.5mm stereo adaptor

Will this adapter work for the touch? It's meant for the motorola phones. I bought an adapter from ebay and it died on me a week later. This one is under $3.50 with fee shipping until May 11.

no it won't work. you have to buy an adapter made especially for htc phones because there is a special pin htc uses for audio.

I believe the author is referring to the mini usb to 3.5mm. I am currently using the one from the touchhq and quite satisfied with it.

The problem with that is you can't charge the phone at the same time as listening to the music. I also tried one that had mini usb port too, but the angle covered up the charge port on the stock adapter. I finally settled on the 3-in-one. I got it for $6.00 by making an offer on ebay. That works great except that you can't receive/make phone calls while the 3.5 port is being used. But at least I can charge and listen at the same time.

I have this one, it stopped working on the mogul once I went 3.35 radio. I will have to dig it up again and test on the touch with 3.35+ radio and see if it also broke. I had them remove the Mogul from the compatibility listing.

P.S. the xda-developers store has a few usb 11 to 3.5mm adapters.
