I have not tested this. It is simply an OS RUU file that I built in the kitchen. It has the stock dialer and comm center and nothing else; NOTHING.

Could you tell me im on the right direction, i got buildos, open select nbh file. I want to remove comm manager. do i have to extract the file. Sorry this is my first time.

First off Thanks for your great contributions, patience, and answers/advice to everyone out here.

I was playing about with BuildOS, since I want to start cooking and see what I can contribute the forums, but my question is that how do I save the .nbh file? I press play, does it's thing, then takes me straight to RUU flashing tool.

Anyway I can save the ROM?

there is a answer to that question .... and honestly I wish that I could tell you what it is right away but look in the 3.02 kitchen stickie you will find the answer there

I posted the directory in the stickie but couldn't find it.

Simply do a file/folder search on your computer for this folder without the quotes: "hIq Inc" it's inside there.


I am using Vista 64SP1 so here is my structure to get to the RUU.

Users----Rob Gorski----- AppData------Roaming-----hIq Inc-----PPC-BuildOS---9.052.7Temp----RUU


That is it. Obviously Rob Gorski will be your user profile. And the 9.052.7Temp probably changes based on build number....

If you look in the buildOS window while a ROM is building, it shows the location of the temp directory it uses. For me it was D:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\hIq Inc\PPC-BuildOS\

Once BuildOS is done building the ROM and the flasher utility pops up, you can just exit it without flashing. The temp directory mentioned above has the RUU_signed.nbh in it for your flashing/modifying/posting needs.

why do you want to remove the comm manager ? are you using the ppcgeeks kitchen?

I have no reason to remove it but sometimes i download other people rom and i want to learn how to remove of there programs. For example i want to remove file explore because i use resco.
