Need some advice - Using XV6900

Ever since I went to the Alltell rom for the GPS/RevA, my phone has refused to see the Verizon towers for about 15 minutes after I do a soft reset. I breifly fixed this problem by going to the 3.35 Radio, but it after installing the updated drivers in the sticky it started again.

Now, I've flashed my phone probably 80 times in the past two days just trying to get back to the same status when I originally went to the Titan radio, but replicating my steps isn't working.

It just says "Searching..." where it would state my carrier.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Need some advice - Using XV6900

A couple strange things I've noticed... the first thing that I find mind boggling is that the problem happened after I installed the updated GPS drivers. I'm really not sure how that caused my phone to be unable to see Verizon towers when it's reset.

Another thing is what it's currently doing. I installed those drivers again just to mess with it. Now it'll show Verizon for breif moments during that first 15 minutes. If I try to do anything when it shows Verizon, it'll kick it right back to Searching...

Crazy, stupid and frustrating. Hopefully someone else has had a similar experience.

have you install cokeman's 2.31 unlocker? you can find out by holding the power button and camera button while pressing the reset button. Try to flash the radio again using the Touch 3.37.10, or 3.37.15 radio. DO NOT use the Titan 3.35 radio as it is not for the Touch, and cokeman confirmed that radio can be dangerous to the Touch.

Hope I can help.

Thanks for trying, but I've tried every radio that's been released. Both unlockers as well, though I don't think that would affect it.

I got it, I had to do the GPSMode=4 registry edit.. so if anyone else has this problem, have at it.

Thanks
