Screen Broke! What is this? (Pic) - Page 4

I had the exact same thing from original post. It kept getting worst from there. There was a dark spot forming on the left side. Than the touch screen was no working properly as time went on. Fortunately I had the protection plan. Just took it in and I received a new one days later.

I am a tech for sprint and it is not broken. On the touch if you take it apart the window that protects the lcd is actuall the touch screen part of the phone and it in turn is plugged into the board. If you were to take it apart you could actually see THROUGH the digitizer. I have seen it on a lot of phones even new out of the box. You may or may not beable to get a replacement through sprint but more than likely you will have to go through the insurance since it is not an abnormal thing to happen.

Ok, I have the same problem...
If I take it back to the Sprint store will they charge me the $50 for the insurance or will it be a free trade for a new Touch?

Are you referring to the OP as my screen looks exactly the same like it has an oil slick. I've just dropped mine off for repair - I'm sure they will try and say its water damage. I've had the phone for 3 months and babyed it every day .. defintely wasn't there when I got it

It just depends on the store you take it to. I have verified that it is not liquid so I usually approve them. another tech may say insurance. its a pot shot.

Thanks for the reply, is there a certain time span since I got my phone that I can and cant get it repaired? (btw, I got it off eBay like 4 months ago and I do have insurance on it...)

If you have insurance then no there is no limit to how long or how many times you can get it repaired. if you order a new one the insurance for $50 then you only get 2 per year. if the store has to order it then it is however many you need. granted though it is up to the store.

damn, my phone just got that weird liquid square on the screen... idk what the freak caused it but hopefully my touch screen keeps working until i can get this touch replaced

guess what, my old touch that i just exchanged had a good screen. got a new one, had the cerap screen
