New Rom Tommorow??

I called sprint customer service today asking when the rom would be available, and they hinted at tommorow. Anyone know anything about this.

Red face Re: New Rom Tommorow??

If it's true that's another day at work wasted, thanks Sprint.

Re: New Rom Tommorow??

There was a rumor going around saying it would be out on the 7th. We'll just have to see, there's been no official credible word yet.

Re: New Rom Tommorow??

I doubt it, because it seems we will have to wait until 6.1 until we see revA and GPS, but who knows I guess.

Well, they just may follow what they did for the Mogul.

Re: New Rom Tommorow??

Being new to roms this may seem a dumb question but it fits here. If I have running a cooked rom will I have to relock my phone back to stock to use the sprint official upgrade when it finally does come out?

Re: New Rom Tommorow??

im callin shens on this one.

not gonna get my hopes up.
my question is..

hypothetically speaking..
for those of us with the 3.75 or.35 radio with custom roms.. whats gonna happen to us when we try to upgrade to sprints rom/radio.. and no telling what radio version theyre going to give us..
think our phones will brick if trying to upgrade?? will there be some special procedure like going back to wm6.0/stock pri/radio, etc???

Re: New Rom Tommorow??

Can't remember whether we have to relock to flash stock (don't think so), but as a worst case scenario, we can follow the method used for unbricking phones; since the bricked phones were stuck in the tri-color bootloader they couldn't run an unlocker, and we would just load a stock nbh file onto the sd card and do a flash from there.

So yeah, I don't actually KNOW, but I think we can just run the exe Sprint posts without problems. Safest thing is probably to go back to the .40 unlocker tho.
on second thought, that requires another radio flash, and cokeman has advised against perpetual radio flashing, so I guess he'll guide us when the time is right
