Touch camera settings

I love my Touch but one thing thats bothered me is that the camera is not that great. Its supposed to be 2mp but my 1.3 cam on my Centro took much better pics than the Touch. Especially indoors. I'm wondering if maybe im not using the right combination of settings to get decent pics. I'm not expecting digi cam or printable quality pics but the ones I take now are almost unusable unless its outside in bright sunlight. My current settings are on 2mp, superfine, with white balance on auto. Does anyone else get decent pics from the Touch? if so can you tell me what settings your using

the camera sucks... it may be "2mp" but the lens is a POS and all the settings in the world aren't going to make it any better...

sorry i couldn't be of more help, but the camera is the one thing on the touch i'm really, truly unhappy with. My now 4+ year old sanyo 9000 took better pictures, especially indoors and in dark places.

I have tried to make the camera on the touch better for a long time. I have tried all kinds of settings and hacks. Nothing will make the POS camera better. The resolution might be 2 meg but the quality is par with cameras that came out four years ago

Yes it has to be the lens thats crap because i've had other 2mp cameras on phone that were MUCH better than this. Even some 1.3 cams are better. I was thinking about switching to the Mogul for the hardware keyboard so that may be another reason now cuz the Mogul camera at least has flash.

You guys could try the regedit to allow for larger quality pics for the touch camera. I have done it and it works but as far as quality I haven't really compared them. I don't have the link right now but I will try to post it later.

I too was quite displeased with the camera on the touch, especially when i realized there was no flash. thats the only thing i miss on my 6800.

The flash on the Mogul wasn't the greatest either. Would've been better if it was a regular flash instead of a "flashlight" then flash. I don't take too many pics with my Touch anyway since I carry my camera almost everywhere, and when I do take pics with my Touch, I take em when its bright

The amazing thing to me is that they showed the new Diamond and it also has no flash /flashlight etc....and they upped that to a 3MP camera.... I dont mind my Touch camera , only really use it for contact pictures.. but you would think with a 3mp camera youd get some kind of flash...

yea the camera really doesnt bother me becuz its not like i use it all the time and when i do its for something close up.
