The New GPS drivers w/ the TItan Radio

ive been reading about that kickstart program and such... do i need to get those standby drivers and kickstart.. or will it work fine???

not sure... also when i tried to install drivers it said read-only file??? way to bypass this when i was trying to delte the other files

It all depends on what ROM you're running.

ok its rom dependant.. im using Jk's Hybrid Rom that was in the tutorial ( i would actually prefer something more OEM... w/ touchflow and such...

so what are options?><?

not plus it says read only file
so i still idk??/

also if i install the OEM rom, and just copy those drivers over... will GPS work?

No, you need a 3... radio and a 3... rom version.

If you want, download the gps kitchen in the stickies and make your rom...its very simple

If you are having problems having the GPS lock up coming out of standby, then make a backup and install the dlls and try it. I have had great success with mardukeme's updated drivers, but if they dont work out for you, copy the backup ones back.

I agree put the new dll's on.

I put them on by hand and had to rename old ones because the were locked.

I was nervious the CAB version would install Kickstart which I don't want.

ok i just want a Rom that has normal Everything.. bascially and w/ REv. A and GPS.. Then install the extra drviers... any suggestions!>>??

Actually, all of JD's roms starting with the hybrid and lite roms include the updated drivers and they auto-start. No extra configuration is necessary, and he even baked in the gpsmode=4 tweak (just in case you're of the camp that thinks it makes a difference).
And yeah, having my cube back and being able to 'flo' between mail accounts/messages would be nice to have back, but for now his lite and super lite roms are pretty unbeatable in my book. I'll probably wait til the actual sprint release to flash again.
