Battery life vs Data AutoDisconnect?

On the stock Sprint ROM if I started a data connection and left it idle for a few hours it would always be disconnected. It would also always disconnect overnight.

With using the Mogul Radio and AllTel Vogue OS ROM it never disconnects on it's own now and I think it's using a little more battery (even though it's idle).

I recall a setting from way back (I think it's inside one of the ##nnn# codes) to set how long before it disconnects if it's idle on it's own.

Anyone recall how to set this?

I've been searching and searching and can't find much.

I have seen utilities for shutting it down very quickly. But some how the Sprint ROM used to do this with no special tools. And I think it's a ##Code# setting or in the registry.
I did confirm one registry Key under

HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38...}\Connecti ons\AlltelWireless\AlwaysOn=0

thats strange, Im flashed to Alltel (my service is sprint) and its always disconnected. I think it waits a few minutes and auto disconnects, evdo icon always stays up though.

Which Radio you using 35 or 37?

My data will stay up for 24 hours easy.

I am on 3.37 radio with alltel rom and my disconnect behavior is as yours mswlogo..always on.

Someone must know what option/feature/attribute that is causing this.
