While updating my vogue for rev a and gps I managed to run into a problem (most likely due to lack of sleep).

When I boot, all I get right away is a picture that says "PPCGeeks And PPCKitchen.org present".

I can hold the power button, camera button, and soft reset to get to the screen with bars, but not sure if that helps me since Active Sync doesn't recognize the device. The device shows up to Windows as Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM. The phone's screen shows SPL-2.31.CoKe. The connection is USB.

I copied the OMJ rom to my memory card and renamed it to VOGUIMG.nbh. That installed without any problems, but when I soft reboot I still get that PPCGeeks image and nothing happens. Guess those two things are unrelated.

Did I brick the phone, or is there something I can do? I've been searching, but not finding the answer.

I'm a noob (did the same thing)... I believe you need to install the stock Sprint RUU, THEN go back to OMJ's.

If you're planning to use GPS and RevA you'll need to also update your radio version to 3.35+ using the Alltel update. I'm guessing that's what you skipped if the kitchen builds or OMJ's latest aren't booting for you.

i also skipped the stock ruu installation and mine turned out fine, your problem is the radio, install 3.35 for better gps (seems to be the general consensus)

I installed the 3.35 radio and redid the unlocker and still have the same problem. Tried to flash the newer Alltel rom and get the connection error 260. The other roms just leave me at the ppcgeeks screen

Use the original full sprint rom and let customizations run

Thanks for the help. The radio was exactly the issue. Everything is fine now and GPS is working!
