Takes a long time for phone radio to acquire signal after reset.

on average it takes about 5 minutes to get a phone signal after a reset. Is any one else having this problem? I have loaded a few roms and some of them I only have the problem right after the hard reset, but others it happens every time I soft reset. Some roms however acquire the signal immediately. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Check your startup folder, located at c:\windows\startup might have a lot of applications starting. If you do not anything in particular delete it then.

it takes about close to 1 min for me, I think there must be something in the Alltel ROM (which I'm using) that has some network conflicts. But I'm not sure what exactly!!

Re: Takes a long time for phone radio to acquire signal after reset.

This happended to me too after I upgraded. I thought I had screwed somting up. I could never get my internet to connect using JD's rom. so I reverted back to 4.00 unlocker with standard WM 6.1 with no GPS and I havent had a problem. I really wanted to try out the new GPS features but i just couldn't get them to work. Any ideas?

Re: Takes a long time for phone radio to acquire signal after reset.

I had that problem initially. I did some very minor cleanups (startup folder and deleted active sync notification on time change etc.) and loaded the 60711 PRL. Since then it behaves normal on soft reset. Often I have phone radio up as soon as the screen shows now (just like the stock Sprint ROM). Also since then I switched to the Sprint Titan 35 Radio ROM and the 6.0 Alltell Touch OS ROM and now the phone behaves 99% like a stock Sprint ROM with GPS and REV-a. The Radio is made for Sprint phone and the OS is made for Touch (VERY STABLE).

Re: Takes a long time for phone radio to acquire signal after reset.

I have the same problem. I'm running GhettoRyder's rom with 3.35 radio. Takes me about 2 min after all the apps have come up to get a cell signal. I rather like the ROM I have so if the solutions is to put another ROM, I consider it a small issue. Not sure what this PRL business is.

Did you let the Alltel customizations run when you installed the Alltel rom? If you did then that's the reason you had no internet.
