Alltel new firmware issues for Alltel only users!
I thought I would start a thread for Alltel only users who have upgraded to the new firmware. They seem to quickly get hijacked by sprint users!

I have upgraded and installed the GPS drivers from one of the other threads and my GPS works great. My vista cube no longer works correctly and I cannot uninstall it. SMS-chat does not work correctly either, sent text messages disappear once sent.

I'm afraid to use the HTC home customizer.

k dude, dont mean to hijack, but i thought it was just me with the sms chat problem and new rom. i have since upgraded to 6.1 and i am just using touchpal and the standard threaded text.

And now my googlemaps doesn't believe I have an Internet connection. It keeps coming up and saying it requires and internet connection to work and gives me an error message. Did soft-reset and reinstalled didn't fix it. Yesterday I was driving around and the dot was moving, now it won't even connect.

SMS-chat problem solved. Options for messaging for texts was not set to save in sent folder.

My main issue is when it changes from 1X to EVDO, it takes forever to connect and get data. It usually times out and tells me the settings were not accepted. When I go into the dialup settings, the username and password is always blank. I have to fill-in the info each time. this usually occurs after a soft reset.

Any others having this issue?
