Re: Anyone else getting "digital roaming" when booting with the new Rev A?

Boe, did you figure out how to do a "Hard Reset"? You have to power the phone off, and then back on again while you hold the stylus in the hole at the bottom of the phone and while holding the red "end call" button down which is just above the hole that the stylus is in.

Then you will get a screen prompt that you need to follow.

If you are just reseting by putting the stylus in the hole then you are only doing a "Soft-Reset".

That may be the solution to your problem if it is not already fixed.

Re: Anyone else getting "digital roaming" when booting with the new Rev A?

Chris - yes thanks - I did another hard reset last night - posted in a previously edited note.

Unfortunately that isn't the issue - seems to be that certain locations don't work great with the new radio version combined with the new PRL. I had used the new PRL with my old image before the alltel update and I didn't have this issue.

However if your go to the com manager and turn the phone off and then back on again it seems to almost always get rid of the digital roaming.

I think I just happen to be in the wrong spot more often than others so it is more noticeable for me. I've tried 3.35 and 3.37 radios.

The solution of turning off the phone and turning it back on - just the phone not flight mode or bluetooth etc seems to take care of the issue quickly.
What PRL is that??
Try 60612 its in the threads somewhere...

I have exactly the same issue in Denver Colorado. I am using JD's Custom currently but also had the same issue with the Alltel rom.
