No activesync problems with JD's GPStest2.1 Rom

can anyone else confirm that they havent had any activesync issues??
the past roms, ive gotten extremely frustrated with connecting the phone to the pc.. i would have to unplug and replug the phone multiple times before activesync recognizes the phone.

With this rom, i simply connect and activesync turns green and is ready. I also notice the network connection icon in the xp system tray doesnt even show up, usually i would have to wait for that to animate and get the phones information before activesync could even begin to sync!!

I wonder what the difference in this rom is compared to others??

I too haven't had any issues with activesync like I have had in the past. Funny though I just loaded his new lite rom, hopefully it will be the same.

Re: No activesync problems with JD's GPStest2.1 Rom

when you plug up, on the phone a dialog box pops up asking to cancel or something else which is pretty cool.. then a status bar at the bottom of the phone is visible while connected as well.. which is cool..

im wondering if this has anything to do with the smoothness??
whatevers in this rom that allows for better activesyncing.. NEEDS to be in everyones future roms..

It is because the USB/PC connection appears to be set without "Enable Advanced Network Functionality" enabled by default. I saw the same thing in mine, and ended up turning it back on, which helps with connections to my Mac. Generally speaking, you want to leave this enabled. Only when you are having ActiveSync or other USB connection issues to your PC should you turn this off.

^^Yea same here. Normally I would have to turn it off to get it to work but with the Alltel rom I had to turn it on
