Battery life and gps

what kind of battery life can be expected with gps turned on?

Shouldn't be too big of a draw. Probably much less than having BT active and turned on, since GPS is only active when you have a program using it, compared to BT.

i was wondering how much power it would use when using gps will it kill my battery by the time i get to my location? will i have to use it pluged in when driving?

I'm currently using the stock battery and was driving around with GPS on today and testing battery life (out of curiosity) and it lasted around 3 hours (including talking for 20min with BT headset) Normally the stock battery lasts 4.5 hours for me (under constant internet and phone use)

For me 1 hr of gps tracking my route while driving then internet and calls for 1 hr each i still got half life...but im on a 2000 mah battery so i gesss for a stock battery that is prbaaby a dead battery

for me with a stock battery no battery reg hacks and using google maps i get about 20% battery drain per hour. not bad i guess. ied say i could get about 3 to 4 hours of gps tracking per charge
