Did you literally set it to that url? or copy the xml and put it under the default place i see it is www.arcsoft.com/mobile//UAProf/ArcSoft-MMSUA-PPC-v42.xml?
Curious for the former option , since the url is down currently.

Also i installed the cab but dont see MMS in my Messaging, do i need a reg value set to see it there as myabe was implied in earlier post?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...364043&page=30 only other place i saw mention of Arcsoft 4281.reg, has a attachment, should i run that?
Not sure how to run that with Total Commander, or PHM Reg Edit. Double clicking on it gives error and Import option greyed out in PHM Editor (which i suspect cause it says "It is not possible to import registry files (.reg) yet.", guess they left the menu item in there though ). EDIT: Guess i copy the file to ///registry and it just will know to import it?

kinda confused on the steps here soccer past installing the cab!

btw, weather thing finally worked. needed a few soft resets hehe.

Re: Verizon VX6900 - Altell ROM

Regarding Custom cubes: If you want to modify your stock TouchFlo cube to something like an icube or Vistacube or some of the other awesome custom cubes you have to install an updated cube that supports altell/6.1. Once I got the newer cubes they worked fine.

Side note: I am in SF right now and everything seems to be off kilter here. GPS doesn't lock and EVDO signal seems out of whack. I can only get 380Kbps via laptop tethering here. Is it Verizon in SF or is my phone out of whack? Do i need to do *228 here option2 here?

Has anyone traveled after the Altell upgrade? Anyone seen this?

On the way to the airport, I had GPS lock, Live Search mapping turn by turn the whole way.

sorry that wasn't very direct.. i actually built it onto my own rom that i made with ppc's kitchen.. but i think the cab will be the same. im not quite sure why mms isn't showing up did u do a soft-reset? but after that you gotta make sure your server settings are like

server name:Verizon Wireless
Gateway: <leave blank>
Port: 80
Server Address: http://mms.vzw.com/servlets/mms
Connect via:
Verizon Wireless
Sending Size limit: 250K <--doesn't matter i put at 400k
WAP Version: 2.0

then i jus went into regeditor and changed the values of the two lines within regeditor.. i did not download any xml or anything. this is what it said b4 i changed itwww.arcsoft.com/mobile//UAProf/ArcSoft-MMSUA-PPC-v42.xml? .. and like u said is no longer active so it needs to be http://uaprof.vtext.com/utstar/xv69k/xv69kv1.xml
jus change the address in regeditor... and last look in the accept-charset and delete the last two semicolons..

mine was Accept-Charset: us-ascii;utf-8;iso-10646-ucs-2;ISO-8859-1;gb....;gb..... delete what is underlined
